Russian / Ukrainian Rockets

have about 50% share in the world's space launches.

The Federal Space Agency of Russia conducted 45% of the world's space launches in 2006, maintaining its leading position in the world.
Russia had 25 space launches, compared to the United States' 18 or 28%, Japan and China shared third place, with 6 launches each. The Russian space budget was $873-million in 2006 compared to a NASA budget of over $16-billion.
